It's considered a true vegetable alterna­tive for light petrochemical based emollients like IPM, mineral oils or silicones (e.g. D5). Coco-Caprylate/Caprate is one of the fastest spreading natural emollients. It decreases heavy and greasy skin feel of slow spreading oils and will benefit the formulation with a long-lasting care effect. 

Distearoylethyl Dimonium Chloride COSMOS certified Green, partially of vegetable origin, and readily biodegradable cationic (positively charged) ester quat derived from stearic acid.

It’s combined with Cetearyl Alcohol (fatty alcohol, not drying) to act as a thickener and conditioning agent for emulsions and hair care products. Able to restore and rebuild damaged hair; it does not coat but penetrates and substantiates the hair shaft.
